Big weekend for events. Yesterday, the Ocean Conservancy Coastal Cleanup with my friends at Green City Challenge…Today there was the Koman Race for the Cure , a number of street fairs and Ecofest (postponed two weeks by Irene). My friend Lori Grinker, a truly wonderful photographer, also gave a talk about her work in progress “Dear Grinkers”. You should check out her work.
I went to Ecofest before going to Lori’s talk. For me, there is a bit of cognitive dissonance in having EcoFest on the Grounds of the Intrepid but: “The test of a first rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.” – Fitzgerald
