I had a great day today. My cousin, Margie, and my goddaughter, Carrie, and her sisters, Allyson and Evelyn, all deserted their families to come up from Texas to visit the city to celebrate Allyson and Evelyn’s birthdays..  I hadn’t seen them in way too long. It was a lot of fun taking them through Central Park, to the Shake Shack (Upper West Side location) for lunch, on the subway and then walking the High Line.  I dropped them at Pier 78 so they could take a boat tour around the lower part of the island. I haven’t heard from them since so my guess is they are out rockin’ NYC.
