If you had told me 10 years ago that a Presidential election would be between an African-American and a Mormon, that a majority of the US would approve of gay marriage – not legalized in 50% of the country … that a gay woman (apparently) would be elected to the Senate – that two states would vote to legalize possession of small amounts of marijuana I would have laughed. If you had told me that pro and anti rape would be an issue I would have thought you were nuts.
Small but interesting point, Since 1928 the only times Republicans have won the Presidency someone named Bush or Nixon was on the ticket.

We have but still a long way to go.

I care not about one’s sexual orientation; I do care that half of the American people have elected a puppet as president sponsored by someone’s big money. There was a cover up on Libya and had it been Bush or Nixon the liberal media would have been screaming at the top of their lungs.
I am not a graceful or silent loser. I am not Republican and I would not vote for Obama; the young people who are not looking for a handout should decide what kind of country they want to live in. This country now is so far from where it was when I was an adult that I no longer recognize where I am.
My nephew was an Obama fan. I don’t think we have much in common to talk about anymore because the Obama people I know cannot view a record of failure and decide that a change is needed.
Maybe Romney would be worse but I cannot see how that could be.

Times are a changing…but it still feels stagnant somehow.

It does. The movement is, I think, below the surface. After 6 billion dollars, DC is basically exactly where it was before. Yeah we may get a little less intransigence from the House but..the real movement is in the states.
