The Photo Challenge this week is Beyond.
So very many ways to approach this challenge and this word. We saw The Life of Pi today (a beautiful, intelligent but flawed film – but do go see it if you can) and that certainly deals with beyond in many senses of the word. I may return to this again later this week but in the meantime…

Hi,
A wonderful variety on the theme. The last shot is making me somewhat nostalgic… love it.

Thank you. I do love causing nostalgia. It is so much nicer than other things people can cause.

Thanks so much. My wife grew up in DC but this was the first time our daughter had been – well since before her brain could take it in.

Haven’t seen the movie yet, but I haven’t read the book yet either. I’m torn.

@TBM – Maybe it is just a sign of aging but I am starting to enjoy seeing the movies then reading the books. With no need to worry about the plot, since I know it, I can concentrate on the writing and also reflect back on how the filmmakers condensed and worked over the book – sometimes well and sometimes badly. It is also fun seeing peripheral characters and plots that were left on the cutting room floor.
