The blizzard has come and gone and NYC did not get hit badly. A foot of snow, wind, and cold but nothing like Connecticut and Massachusetts. Some pictures of the 18 hours.

About Robert S Johnson
The times I have not lived near the water have been the least aware and most dangerous times of my life. Without Emmylou Harris - the world would have a less beautiful sound.

Wow … wonderful to see these snow images of NYC. I’ve seen some amazing time lapses from Mass. and CT posted online.
We didn’t get all that much snow … I felt that the wind was worse than anything else.

Enjoyed these! You should my daughter’s house and yard in Boston! Last time I spoke with her they were at 24 inches out blowing the snow off the driveway while it was still snowing!

My parents in Newton tell me the same. Down oin the Cape is even worse. My MIL has been without power for almost 48 hours now and they don’t know when it will restore.

Hope it will be soon. I heard tonight they had opened shelters for those on the Cape.

Hi,
What I like about snow is how it completely changes everything… the light, the trees and objects and yes, people. People let themselves enjoy a bit. Everytime it snows where I am (Paris suburbs), I get out there, too. No snow so far…
Happy Sunday.

Happy end of Sunday to you. Snow does change it all for a short while.
