I love the street art that people make by the river…I believe these two examples may be by the same person but…who knows.

A warm and sunny day. 2pm above the Hudson River. The plane flew, very slowly, from the Harbor to the George Washington Bridge on the New York side of the river than turned and came down the New Jersey side.

SNOW DAY!
In the 13 years that I have visited the 108th Street sledding hill I have never seen so many kids sledding and such great snowman making snow. 19″ of snow followed by a clear day can do that. It was cold, the river was extremely icy,
but it was party time!

An extraordinary sky as we approach sunset. I almost forgot to take the picture the sky was so intense.

My wife has always been a fan of tug boats. I can’t tell you why, she just is. They are one of the reasons I wanted to start this blog. Shipping on the Hudson has been declining for years but it still goes on. This is still a working river and the remaining tug boat fleet are at the heart of that. I hope to make contact with some of the captains and get onto those boats so I can shoot the work they do. We shall see what happens.

I really have no idea why the cops were driving to Fairway on the bike path rather than Broadway but they were. We had just had 9 inches of snow so maybe the city clears bike paths earlier than major roads? They were kind enough to just toot their horn rather than blasting their siren when they wanted to get by me.
