7-15-12 Guthrie Family Reunion

Went to Central Park Summer Stage last night to see The Guthrie Family Reunion tour. Arlo is touring with 3 daughters, one son, one son-in-law, a bunch of grandkids and his band to celebrate Woody’s 100th birthday.  His sister, Nora, was also there, she is the author, researcher and historian, Director of the Guthrie Archives and President of Guthrie Publishing.

It was a fun evening. The rain held off until just after the show ended. Here you have a little slide show with a few other views

“Wall Street: A thoroughfare that begins in a graveyard and ends in a river”

Source Unknown (by me)

Pete Seeger marches in support of Occupy Wall Street.

Being a blog about the Hudson River…Pete Seeger being one of the great champions of the river and a truly great citizen of The United States, I truly felt the need to report this.  To quote Mr. Seeger:

“The words are simple: I could be happy spending my days on the river that flows both way-ay-ays,”
