Hudson River Factoid: The river/estuary combination is 315 miles. The Erie Canal, built to connect the Hudson with Lake Erie and thus make the shipping of goods west easier, is 35 miles longer than the river (350 miles)

Yesterday was the first day that I went out of my way not to visit or shoot the Hudson. I saw it, of course, but sans camera and with no intention of shooting.  It felt extremely odd.

For the time being, ( a day, a week, a month…?) I will be posting two pictures, one from whatever and wherever I shot that day and one from the river on the corresponding date in 2011.  Let’s see where that leads me…
