6-17-12 A Father’s Day Swim

Oh hell no. Not me.  I just take pictures.  Went down to the river this morning after my friend Roy called to tell me that there was a lot of activity above 110th Street.  Kayaks, Police boats, people in bathing caps. So off I went and found Urban Swim‘s New York City Hudson River Swim, a brisk half mile open water estuary swim.

Shot for about an hour then came home and had a delightful breakfast with the family before we all went off to the movies. First the three of us saw “Snow White and The Huntsman” which we all enjoyed. Then Katherine excused herself – not being a horror/alien fan and Abigail and I saw “Prometheus“, which we also enjoyed.  In a (very) twisted way they are both about father-daughter relationships so it seemed appropriate.

Stand by for one of the best Father’s Day quotes I have ever heard after the slideshow.

“Happy Father’s day – or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law’s day.”
