3-25-11 Collaboration

The river flows
It flows to the sea
Wherever that river goes
That’s where I want to be
Flow river flow
Let your waters wash down
Take me from this road
To some other town

Roger McGuinn

Spending the days and nights by the sea, 1600 miles (2600 kilometers) give or take as the crow flies,  from NYC, in a different country, and Abigail turns on the TV and we get Fox 5 NY…h’mmmm.

This shot (11/3/10) was the one that sold me on the Hudson project. I had been thinking of a number of projects but I liked the sense of collaboration implied here.

  1. Sometimes I go to the country
Sometimes I go to the town
Sometimes I get a great notion
To jump in the river and drown

Don’t know whose words those are, but they head off a pretty fabulous book by the late Ken Keasy.

Like this shot, even if almost 5 mos old, thereby being slightly outside the boundaries of the Husdon Project.

    • Well, Leadbelly claimed his uncle taught him the song but author is unknown with Leadbelly being credited as the person who brought it to the world’s attention and The Weavers being the ones who first popularized it.
