3-27-12 Well, It Seemed A Good Idea At The Time

Have you ever thought: “Wow, this seems like a really great thing to do. Let’s do it!” and then discovered half way through that you have bitten off more than you can easily chew and things start to feel really dicey?

That is what I did today. 10 hours later, I made it through and it only cost two incredibly sore calves, a bruised kneecap, a deep look into my internal mirror, and a realization of where I am in my life.

I am very glad I did it.

I seriously doubt that I will ever do it again.

Those times were kind of bunched together for me; it took a while before I got the message, but I did get the message and now those times are all distant memories. Great post. Thanks.

  4. Answer: Almost every dang day. But, next weekend, I am hiking 24 miles for my next book, just to make sure I remember how dumb I can be.

    Question: Is this photo the source of the Hudson? I know you’ve wanted to get there for a while.
