7-3-13 Rain And Light

Yesterday was Katherine’s Birthday and part of the celebration involved museum going. I got up early to stand in line so that the three of us could get into The Rain Room at MOMA before 11:30 which left us time for burgers at The Burger Joint at Le Parker Meridian, jewelry admiring at Tiffany,

a test of the new Citibike system, a brief respite, and then off to see the James Turrell retrospective at The Guggenheim which is topped off by a magnificent new installation called Aten Reign which completely transform the interior of the museum.  The Guggenheim does not allow pictures so I can’t show you that but since Turrell works in light it might not be that interesting a photograph anyway.

I do have a few pictures from The Rain Room however.

  1. I followed the link from Andra’s place . . . you have a devilish number of followers (666 ~ spooky).

    Should I be scared? 😯

Last time I visited NYC, I stayed at the Parker Meridian. Great location, service, etc. . . . at “bargain basement” prices. 😉

  3. DANG YOU, ROBERT!!!!!! I had been trying not to read about that MoMA exhibit, and now you forced it on me, and I forced MTM to buy plane tickets in a moment of weakness, and we will be there on the 19th and 20th. If you are around, you have to see us, because this is all your fault.

    • I try to stimulate NYC’s economy as much as possible…
I believe I will be here and would love to see you. Don’t wear all black. The rain has a hard time seeing you if you do. Are you members?
