2-2-14 Groundhog Day – Weekly Photo Challenge:Object

Before today’s post actually begins this news bulletin. The original groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, is predicting six more weeks of winter. This is not good.

I was really hoping for only a month and a half more of winter.

The local New York groundhog, Staten Island Chuck, was unable to make an accurate prediction because our new mayor dropped him.

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, left, winces as Staten Island Chuck breaks free and drops to the stage during the 2014 Groundhog Day ceremony at the Staten Island Zoo. Sunday February 2, 2014. (Staten Island Advance/Anthony DePrimo)

This weeks challenge is object. For my second go at it (The first one is here) I thought I would return to 2011.

Long time readers will have seen the first version of this object before.

I first saw this on February 16, 2011.

The last time I saw it was yesterday, 2/1/14.

I have a feeling that if I come back in thirty years it will still be here in some fashion or another.
