Today’s Daily Prompt from WordPress is: “Describe the one decision in your life where you wish you could get a “do-over.”
Now I read that and thought to myself “the one decision?” I had more than one decision I wished I could do-over when I was twelve. I think I probably reached the greatest number somewhere in my 30’s and it has been slowly decreasing since than but I can still reel off ten or more without even needing to think.
Then they add: “Photographers, artists, poets: show us ITERATION.”
This makes me ask if they are saying that photographers and poets are not artists…?
I am in a mood today.
Today, I decided to go for a very pale unsaturated yellow: the sun reflecting off the non frozen parts of the Hudson in late afternoon.
I shot these two pictures with the same white balance, the same aperture, ISO and shutter speed within a minute of each other. The only change is from a 300mm zoom to an 180mm zoom and yet there is a noticeable color shift in the quality of the yellow. Being a rationalist believer in the scientific method I am not really sure why I find this surprising as it is pretty basic physics/optics but I do, indeed I do.
Here are some other yellows for your consideration.
