7-15-14 Weekly Photo Challenge: Relic (Home Base Edition)

We live in cities you’ll never see on screen
Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things
Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams
And you know, we’re on each other’s team

Lorde & Joel Little

I have been wandering pretty far afield as of late and thought I should bring it home for my second response to this week’s photo challenge: relic.  My first take is here.

There are, naturally, lots of relics on the Hudson but perhaps the most famous one is Bannerman castle on Pollepel Island. Last summer while climbing Storm King Mountain and Butter Hill I was able to take some photographs on a humid and stormy day.
