If I have neglected to say that the next book you read should be Ms. Macdonald’s H Is For Hawk, my apologies. Not since I read Bolano’s The Savage Detectives has a book grabbed me with its content, writing, emotion and sheer brilliance as this one did.
This week’s photo challenge is Intricate. H Is For Hawk, while “simply” written and very accessible is the most intricate book I have read in years. The depth of the intelligence, emotion and knowledge is extraordinary.
