16-01-02 When The Music’s Over…

“Donald E. Carr points out that the sense impressions of one-celled animals are not edited for the brain” “This is philosophically interesting in a rather mournful way, since it means that only the simplest animals perceive the universe as it is.”

  1. The “Doors” music was just “beginning” a year before this incredible 1968 video (Thanks for the post – wow!) when my wife and I saw them in Forent Hills, August, 1967 – (with Simon and Garfunkle – arguably the worst mis-match in concert history.) Sometime ago, I posted about that, as part of my cross country trip in 1967, specifically about the Doors … http://wp.me/p37YEI-zn and here http://wp.me/p37YEI-Ad
Your video posting is of great quality, and even gives a rare little smile to Jim’s face, somthing NOT seen in the ’67 performance! M:-)

    • I can’t beat that mismatch but I can say I saw the Strawberry Alarm Clock, The Doors and The Buffalo Springfield in concert at the Boston Music Hall (I think that was the venue) in ’67. The Pickle Brothers were the “comedy” Entr’acte…

      • Must have been a great show…Incense and Pepperment; A Man with a Gun Over There, and The End. Trully, what a treat it would be to witness that again… An amazing decade, the 60’s! M 🙂
