5-19-14 How We Walk The Dog In Red Hook

7-28-13 Travel Theme: Sweet

While I work on making some photographs from yesterday’s swim, I thought I should take up Ailsa’s theme this week:  Sweet.

In looking through the Hudson Swim pictures I came across several that would do but nothing beat these two. First I must preface this by saying that I am not a dog person.  However our friends Kathy and John brought Chloe with them and after Kathy finished the swim… (first DSLR then iPhone)

Even I have to admit that is pretty sweet.

3-5-13 Don’t Sleep In The Subway Darling-Phoneography Edition

“Will I see you tonight on a downtown train?
Where every night, every night it’s just the same, oh baby
Will I see you tonight on a downtown train?
All of my dreams just fall like rain, all on a downtown train
All on a downtown train, all on a downtown train
All on a downtown train, a downtown train”

Tom Waits

When I decided to use this image I had no idea that WordPress had declared March “phoneography” month.  I love being on the trend.
I took this with my iPhone and processed it with Snapseed which is an app I really like.

8-11-12 Put Down

California Dreaming
Subterranean Homesick Blues
Free As A Bird
Time Of The Season
People Are Strange

DJ Break

Come Fly With Me
Oh Darlin’

Great radio set, right? WOMR, 92.1, Provincetown played that this morning as I left Wellfleet on my way to Brewster.
California Dreaming started up
” you know the preacher likes the cold
He knows I’m going to stay.”
Shook my head at the weirdness of life.
“you don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. ”
” Free as a bird
It’s the next best thing to be.”
They are really messing with me now and so on to
“and if you go no one may follow
That path is for your steps alone”

I gave up and just let the music take me until as the final chords of Oh Darlin’ ended I pulled into the parking lot of the Animal Hospital and took my Mother-in-law’s 14 year old, dearly loved, extremely sick and in pain, mini poodle inside. The staff was wonderful and kind and took care of things with care and gentleness.
