10-2-13 Round And Round And Round They Spin

Analyzing humor is like dissecting a frog. Few people are interested and the frog dies of it.

While climbing Mount Beacon I came to a pond in the trail…

If its your job to eat a frog, its best to do it first thing in the morning. And if its your job to eat two frogs, its best to eat the biggest one first.

This is real

Our apologies but due to an inability to play nice with others until further notice all pictures on the site will be from the past.  As soon as the House comes to its senses we will be back up and shooting new material.

6-29-13 Travel Theme: Sculpture

Ailsa decided that a good Travel theme this week is: Sculpture. This worked out well for me as I had a picture I took on Thursday while walking Boston‘s Freedom Trail with my cousins that I was planning on using in a post.

As you may know, Boston loves their sports teams and their history. Here we see it combined in the outfit worn by Mr. Paul Revere.

3-14-12 …3.14159265 Pi Day! The Boundless Depths Or How Low Can You Go?

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.”Albert Einstein

Not only is it Pi Day, it is Einstein’s birthday.  To celebrate, the New Hampshire House of Representative’s (which is controlled by Tea Party Republicans) decided to prove the Professor’s quote above.

Their chosen method? To pass a bill requiring doctors to tell women that abortion causes breast cancer.  Now, according to both the American Cancer Society and The World Health Organization, this is a complete load of crap but why start letting facts get in the way now?  The “earth is flat and the moon is made of green cheese” bill is expected to pass next week.

Luckily, as these ladies remind us, St Patty’s day is coming up…

Ah well it is a Harry Potter (or is it an M.C. Escher?) world we live in…

8-4-11 Double Double Toil and Trouble

Reader, suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress.

But I repeat myself. – Mark Twain

I bet many of you have heard or seen this quote before but never has it seemed more appropriate, especially as applied to the House of Representatives.

I’ll have two scoops of recession at my tea party please!

The Nautica New York City Triathlon is on Sunday and the swimmers will be taking off from my default entrance to the river. They spent much of today building the launching platform.  I would sure love  to shoot them heading into the water but they start at 5:50am and I won’t back in town in time to see that.  I will be in Boston on Saturday at the Red Sox-Yankees game with my Mother who was kind enough to invite me.

Wait until next year…
