I went to a photo critique at the B&H Event Space today. I showed one of my favorite in-camera double exposure images from the summer…
This was a group crit lead by four very talented folks, two from the B&H Event Space and two from the Soho Photo Gallery. Several of them felt it was too green. One suggested de-saturating the image…
two others suggested taking it into black and white…
So I figured let us see. You go to crits to learn something and get other’s opinions and ideas, yes? So I thought I would give it a whirl.
Granted, I have not spent a lot of time tweaking the two alternates but I didn’t just push a button and say, enough, either.
I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on which image they prefer.
I spent the last week as TA for a great class taught by the very talented Winona Barton-Ballentine (check her work out!) called In Design For Photographers at ICP. I worked on a little booklet there which I am somewhat pleased with (I have more to do, but it is heading where I want to go.)
I had hoped to put it onto QH so you could see it. In that cause, I have been attempting to figure out how to embed a PDF into a post so you don’t have to click on a link to see it. I have not yet been able to make that work. I know it is possible in WP.org but I am not sure it is possible in WP.com. So, the indulgence I am begging is twofold.
1: If you are a WP maven can you guide me through how to do this?
2: Will you please click on the link and take a look? (FYI: One page may be NSFW depending on your work environment)
