16-09-05 Cape Cod – Wellfleet – End of “Summer” AKA WPC-Mirror

Katherine and I took a week off and headed to Wellfleet (alone!!!) before depositing the future back at college – a freakin’ Junior????

We had a delightful time

Meanwhile the Challenge this week is mirror and, using a bit of license, I think the following images “mirror” our week.

16-08-15 WPC: Fun (Hudson River Edition)

RSJohnson_1608141608149938Last night we took a sunset journey down the Hudson to the Statue of Liberty aboard the Schooner America 2.0 run by Classic Harbor Line. Some thunder, a little rain and a great deal cooler than the 94 degrees (heat index 107) that it was on shore.

Fun? Indeed it was.

15-12-21 Lens Culture (Almost Winter Solstice Edition)

So the Winter Solstice is at 11:48PM (EST) tonight.

They are predicting temps as high as 63 Tuesday and 73 on Christmas Eve. I guess we don’t have to move back to LA for the weather after all…

I made several entries to the Lens Culture Exposure awards today and thought I would share one of the series with you…

As always feedback is appreciated.

5-10-14 Travel Theme: Rivers

But I cried a river
A river for him
That’s deeper and wider
Than I’ll ever swim
The heart it will harden
The sorrow will dim
But I cried a river
A river for him

So weep for the sons
And the dear darling daughters
For the passing of time
And the parting of waters

For all who have passed through
This world long before me
To a far distant shoreline
Where no one waits for me

Emmylou Harris

Rivers. H’mm. Rivers. The travel theme from Ailsa at Where’s my backpack? is rivers. That is a tough one…

I wonder if I have any pictures of rivers…
