15-03-24 Who Are You –

“…and then we get the month of March which God designed to show people who don’t drink what a hangover feels like”

Garrison Keillor

A friend remarked to me today that my work tends in two directions…either very stark or very busy. I post this picture to say…

you are correct, sir!

6-14-13 Travel Theme: Flow

“Life does not consist mainly, or even largely, of facts and happenings. It consists mainly of the storm of thought that is forever flowing through one’s head.”

Mark Twain

Ailsa’s Travel Theme this week is: FLOW (check it out here). I am really pleased with this shot, not as a great photograph, but as a great fulfillment of the assignment. As a lagniappe, it also could work for this week’s Photo Challenge: Curves, but that will get its own post.  Why do I feel this is a great fulfillment of the task assigned?  Well, check it out. Look it over and see if you can tell why I think that?

Boro Walk

I am sure you got it but just in case…we have several flows contained here. We have the easy flow of the bike/runner path. The extremely slow and excruciating flow of the West Side Highway (it is actually the Henry Hudson Parkway here but only the DOT calls it that) .  The lack of flow of The Hudson River (estuary) at slack tide. Three flows in one. (I am not counting the flow of the clouds/atmosphere but it is there)

I think Twain was right…
